Aqua and Ventus is a flute quartet composed by Slovenian composer Anže Rozman. The piece depicts the sounds of rain drops falling, flowing and cascading streams of water, gusts of wind, and violent storms. All of the main themes are first introduced in the style of a Toccata or Fantasia in the first section only to be turned into fugue subjects in the second section. This composition incorporates the use of flute beat boxing and the bass flute will play the Cuban claves at the beginning of the fugue to accompany the subject.
